Tour Highlights

A tiny island with pristine white sand surf beaches and a haven for wildlife, Phillip Island is known worldwide for one of the most unique nature experiences: the nightly Penguin Parade.

Departing Melbourne in the afternoon, a 90-minute drive will bring you to Cape Woolamai. Take a moment to watch local surfers before venturing to the Koala Conservation Centre for superb eye-level views of Australia’s most-loved and cuddly marsupial.

Stroll along the clifftop boardwalks at ‘The Nobbies’ on the Summerland Peninsula. Absorb coastal views and listen to the thundering blowhole from lookout points set among natural seabird gardens. As the sun begins to set, travel off-road along the rugged island coastline to spot wild wallabies and Cape Barren geese grazing at dusk.

Before the penguins arrive, take an informative journey through the colony, then take your seat, away from the crowds, in one of the premium beachfront viewing stands.

Watch in awe as members of the 32,000-strong penguin colony emerge from the water, cross the beach, and waddle their way to their nests.

Dinner will be served in the popular seaside village of Cowes at a favorite local restaurant.
